IRVINE, CA – Ken Kasdan, Senior and Managing Partner of Kasdan Simonds Weber & Vaughan LLP, continues to sit on the West Coast Casualty Construction Defect Conference Speakers and Topics Committee.

As the fall season is now upon us, so begins the formal planning stages for America’s Largest, America’s Favorite, America’s Best Construction Defect Seminar, West Coast Casualty’s Construction Defect Seminar for 2014. For the 2014 seminar Dave Stern, Seminar Chairperson, now begins the search for topics and where better than to look but to the community WCC has served for over 20 years, making them the world’s largest event concentrating on the prosecution, defense and coverage for these specialized claims and litigation.

The central theme for 2014 will be “Back to Business . . . Working Smarter . . . Not Harder” and, while WCC seeks topics which focus on the central theme, the committee is always looking for topics of interest and topics on the emerging trends of this specialized area of claims and law.

In May of 2013, 1641 people ventured from across the globe to Anaheim California to hear event speakers’ views and opinions on the controversial topics of construction defect claims and litigation. Many came to keep abreast of current case law, current technologies, and current and developing techniques in this field of specialty. Many came to glimpse into the future of where construction defect claims and litigation will be going. Many came to meet their colleagues, other counsel, judges, mediators, the vendors as well as the other attendees in the world’s largest venue regarding the educational aspects of construction defect claims and litigation.

Through the remainder of 2013, into 2014 and beyond, we will see many changes in the way these claims and litigation affect homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, insurers and almost everyone affected by construction defects. We too adapt our event to an ever changing community so you’ll see some new ideas and technologies from us at our 2014 seminar in keeping with our 2014 theme.
