The formal plans for America’s Largest, America’s Favorite, America’s Best Construction Defect Seminar, West Coast Casualty’s Construction Defect Seminar for 2015 are in place. For the 2015 seminar Dave Stern, Seminar Chairperson, will soon announce the topics and speakers chosen from the community WCC has served for over 20 years, making them the world’s largest event concentrating on the prosecution, defense and coverage for these specialized claims and litigation.
The central theme for 2015 will be “Why “Doing It Like We Always Did It” Won’t Do Anymore”.
In May of 2014, 1517 people ventured from across the globe to Anaheim California to hear event speaker’s views and opinions on the controversial topics of construction defect claims and litigation. Many came to keep abreast of current case law, current technologies, current and developing techniques in this field of specialty. Many came to glimpse into the future of where construction defect claims and litigation will be going. Many came to meet their colleagues, other counsel, judges, mediators, the vendors as well as the other attendees in the world’s largest venue regarding the educational aspects of construction defect claims and litigation.
Through the remainder of 2015, and beyond, industry professionals will see many changes in the way these claims and litigation affect homeowners, contractors, subcontractors, insurers and almost everyone affected by construction defects. WCC adapts their event to an ever changing community so attendees will see some new ideas and technologies from at the 2015 seminar in keeping with the 2015 theme.
KEN KASDAN, SENIOR & MANAGING PARTNER
Ken Kasdan is one of the nation’s leading construction defect attorneys and has been managing partner of the Kasdan Simonds firm, which he established, for more than 25 years. He earned his law degree from the State University of New York, at Buffalo, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York. Established to provide financial assistance for active members of the construction defect community, the CDCCF helps individuals who have uninsured expenses due to a disability, illness, and/or the death of a community member or an immediate family member.
