Ken Kasdan
Senior & Managing Partner
Ken Kasdan is one of the nation’s leading construction defect attorneys and has been the managing partner of Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLP, which he established, for more than 25 years. He earned his law degree from the State University of New York, at Buffalo, and his bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Bernard M. Baruch College of the City University of New York. Ken was admitted to the California State Bar in 1976, and is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court, Central District of California. He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 2003 and the Hawaii and New Mexico State Bar in 2017.
Ken is a member of the American Bar Association (Member: Business Law Section); Committee on Commercial Financial Services; Subcommittee on Interest and Usury, Creditor Rights; Litigation Section; Construction Industry Forum Committee; State Bar Association of California; Orange County Bar Association (Member: Business Litigation Section); Orange County Trial Lawyers Association; Judge Pro Tem, Orange County Superior Court; the Orange County Superior Court Judicial Arbitration Panel; the Maricopa County Bar Association; and Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC).

Ken sits on the Board of the Construction Defect Community Charitable Foundation (CDCCF). Established to provide financial assistance for active members of the construction defect community, the CDCCF helps individuals who have uninsured expenses due to a disability, illness, and/or the death of a community member or an immediate family member.

Michael D. Turner
Michael D. Turner, Partner, has been with Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLP since 1995. Michael’s practice specialty is construction defect, with an emphasis on condominiums. Michael graduated from the University of Michigan School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
He was admitted to the California Bar in 1986 and was Attorney of the Year, Constitution Rights Foundation in 1991. Michael has been selected as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Construction Law by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell.
Michael’s professional memberships include the State Bar Association of California, the Community Associations Institute (CAI), and the Educational Community for Homeowners (ECHO).

Scott J. Thomson
Managing Partner, Walnut Creek Office
Scott J. Thomson joined Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLP in 2005 and serves as managing partner of the Walnut Creek legal team. For over 10 years Scott’s law practice has focused on construction defect, homeowners associations, land subsidence issues, contracts, and class action lawsuits.
Scott has had extensive practice in litigation, contracts, negotiation, business disputes, alternative conflict resolution, and statutory review, having represented homeowners, businesses, and homeowners associations in matters both involving litigation and general services.
Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles; and earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University at Northridge. Prior to becoming an attorney Scott assisted contractors in obtaining their California State Contractors License.
Scott was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005.

Scott A. Booth
Managing Partner of the Arizona and New Mexico Offices
Scott Booth is the Managing Partner of Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLP’s Arizona and New Mexico Offices. Since joining the firm in 2005, Scott’s practice focuses on representing homeowners and homeowner’s associations in construction defect cases. Scott has extensive experience in all facets of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Scott has successfully arbitrated and tried cases. Through verdict, award or settlement he has recovered over $100 million for his clients.
Scott graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA. Scott is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Scott is also licensed in the Federal District Courts of Arizona and Hawaii. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Scott obtained a B.S. degree in Construction from Arizona State University and worked within the construction industry.

James Fleming
James W. Fleming is partner attorney with Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLP in the Phoenix, Arizona office where he focuses his practice in construction defect litigation. James graduated, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI, and earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. James is also a Registered Patent Attorney, United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is an active member of the Maricopa County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Chris Hikida
Chris Hikida is a Partner Attorney at Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLLC. His practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in class action and complex litigation in the areas of consumer protection, civil rights, and privacy violations. Prior to working at Kasdan Turner Thomson Booth LLLC, Chris has worked for both plaintiff and defense law firms, and clerked for the Supreme Court of Guam and Chief Justice Recktenwald at the Supreme Court of Hawai`i. Chris draws on his diverse litigation experience to zealously advocate for his clients.
